what inspired you to start making music, and when did it first feel like your dream was actually possible?

I’ve always been obsessed with music and I’ll never forget I was probably like around 7 and I was listening to the newest Drake CD and there was a song that I really thought was missing something and it kinda dawned on me that like “i can do that” when I was 18 I went to the studio for the first time and like hearing my first finished song felt like I already made it.

what has been your craziest fan interaction or moment so far in your career ?

Getting noticed the first time feels cool for everyone but I've been around for a minute. I've had ups and downs, after the name change it was like i was done with no shot at return and I was texting my friends about how I might give up and right before I hit send a dude id never met in my life walked up approached me by name and was asking me about my album and that is why were still going today

what was the inspiration behind your artist name?

It feels like me. That was the biggest thing to me was I had always been worried about appealing to other people but Waldo doesn’t do that. Waldo does things because he loves doing it and doesn’t care if people like it or not. Waldo is the physical embodiment of everything Jaxon was afraid of.

can you tell me about the moment in your life or career that made you start taking your craft more serious?

I don’t really, like I guess recently the growth has been crazy and we have been doing a lot more on the business side of things and that came from just putting in what we get out. But when it comes to music I don’t like to think too hard I've heard people like quit songs half way through because its not gonna be a hit and I don’t like that music is supposed to be fun so i let it be and don’t like to overthink how good a song is

where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

In the next 5 years things look crazy, we should be touring regularly soon and then I'd like to be touring outside of America. By then we will have the label fully operational and the Skitzo Kollektive will be everywhere you look.

if you had one last idea, statement or thought to give to the world, what would it be?

My message to the world is be you and do what you like. Everyone is always trying to appeal to other people thats what Ive always done and it never got me anywhere i decided i didnt care about numbers or what anyone else thinks about it and started working on this current album and i havent even really announced anything yet but everything is just coming together so beautifully and everyone is loving it! Just be you and believe in yourself regardless of how you feel. Believe it receive it and watch it come true.
