what inspired you to start making music, and when did it first feel like your dream was actually possible?

My [deceased] brother Bando Blue. Growing up he was the star of the family for real, seeing him do his thing made me want to be just like him. Sure enough at one point we were both pushing the right energy into the world. What made me feel like this dream was actually possible was going from searching “How to get in touch with record labels” and receiving misleading information, to seeing my face on Complex, HotNewHipHop & more. This is back when blogs were a major thing. Then actually being reached out to to come connect with Multiple labels. Shoutout Artist Publishing Group & Republic Records for that experience, that right there showed me to keep going.

what is something you feel like is a necessity for your creative / recording process?

Something I need for sure is that whoever I’m working with that day, must be in sync with how I feel in that moment, and to try and relate sonically. That plus some psychedelic-induced items to take me somewhere most people won’t dare to go. Also lots and lots of water.

how do you feel about manifestation and what role do you feel like it played in your career?

I’m real big on manifestation, this life sh*t is all coded and you can stick to what you're programmed to stick to, or you can break the matrix and recreate your own world. It might sound crazy to those who don’t understand or lack spiritual connection to reality, but everybody we idolize has done exactly that. Looking at me being in different positions over time, I change the narrative for myself by repeating this method so it’s pretty much in plain site.

what is the main story that you're looking to convey or message that you're looking to deliver with your upcoming project VALOR?

The main thing I’m spreading with this project is that it’s okay to show the world your evolution, everybody spends to much time appealing to what people “might” want and forget about the part of worrying about what “YOU” want, like who are you today? As in right now, not yesterday. This project is basically me trying to find out who I am in today’s age, and once it clicked and I received my downloads from the universe, I knew it was time to show & relay that synergy to the world. This is what I like to call “Phase WUN” because it’s the start of a new era, not just for me but for anybody I reach.

what do you feel like was the hardest lesson to learn throughout your music career?

That everybody can’t come! Not everybody will be willing to make the same sacrifices as you or understand what your vision is. If you're not as delusional as I am about making it then I gotta cut you off to save [myself] from being stuck in place with you, so at some point you've gotta cut the hand off to save the body, you know?

whats your origin story, how did you create your identity as “2 4Wun” & what’s the story behind the name?

I was born in Little Rock, Arkansas at UAMS Medical Center. I moved to Wisconsin by [the time I reached] grade school, and quite frankly haven’t been back home since, but I’m trying to change that. I see it’s plenty of talent from there. I wanna share my energy with the folks back home, but I represent Wisconsin because that’s where I became who yall see today. You know i've just got major love for both places because they both shaped me. As far as the name, 2 4Wun, it came about from me being able to hold my own and stand out when creating any kind or vibe of music, it’s like 2 versions of myself working on the same record, because I’m very unpredictable with music and I love that for me and whoever my fans may be, so the name speaks for itself.

if you had one last idea, statement or thought to give to the world, what would it be?

“The past doesn’t matter because it’s too late, the future doesn’t matter because it’s too early. The only thing that matters is the present, focus on today if your care for tomorrow."
